Read the image poems written by your classmates. Read until you find one that triggers something that starts a chain of associations or that gives you poetic line or that creates a poem idea. Then write a poem from that starting point.
When you post this poem you will want to type the image poem first (with attribution). You will also want to title your poem "After [the image poem]."
For your second accountability group meeting, please read chapter 2 in our text, the Portable Poetry Workshop. This would be a useful place to discuss ideas as well as to discuss your poems.
